Bio

Artist:  Ralph L. Steeds, born March 1942, Oklahoma City Okla.

M.F.A. Printmaking and Painting University of Oklahoma 1973.

Studied at the Tamarind Institute Summer Workshop for Professionals, New Mexico. 1996.

Participated in the summer Workshop on Printmaking, Haystack Mountain School Of Crafts, Maine. 2002.

1975 to present.  Teaching printmaking and drawing at the University Of North Carolina, Pembroke.  Professor Emeritus. 

2005, Summer, Taught American Indian art history at Chung Yuan Christian University, Chung-Li Taiwan.

Resides in Red Springs North Carolina. Has own print shop with lithography and etching facilities.  rsteeds@nc.rr.com.

Has been included in over 200 national, internationa, and regional exhibitions since 1980.
